**About the role**:
We are looking for Trade Assistant/ Cable Hauling to join our NSW team.

**Trade Assistant**

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist trade workers with lifting and hauling cables
- Assist trade workers with laying of cable
- Assist with installation and maintenance of telecommunications devices
- Conform to safety regulations and requirements
- Perform manual tasks associated with installation
- Pipe proving / RRP. Basic blockage clearing skill including dig down repair and flush.
- Scoping, site survey and feedback information to back office.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- NBN enable qualified.
- First Aid & CPR required.
- Construction Card (White Card) required.
- Traffic Management card (Yellow Card) required.
- Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence.
- Police check (within 6 months): Must be clear with no convictions.
- Full Australian Work Rights.

**Cable Hauler**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Hauling of fibre optic cables
- Pipe proving ducts using jetters and rodders
- Installing pits and other underground infrastructure
- Operation of tools and machinery (e.g. whacker packer, generator, grundomat, excavator)
- Asbestos removal
- Rod and Rope, Hauling and/or recovery of underground and aerial cables
- Site setup, wrap-up, clean up & reinstatements
- May be required at times to work weekends, nights and away at various locations
- Report to Telecommunication Supervisor

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Previous civil construction and telecommunications experience. (Cable hauling, Pit & Pipe, Trenching preferable)
- NBN Enable Accreditation
- Construction White Card
- Pit & Pipe Certification
- Asbestos (ACM) Accreditation
- HR or MR Licence and excavator competency will be highly regarded
- Implement Traffic Control Plans Card
- Certificate in First Aid (HLTAID003)
- Identify, locate and protect underground services (RIICCM202E)
- Can do attitude and team leading
- Be reliable, show initiative
- Focus on quality, attention to detail & safety

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
