Our Stirling Libraries team have been helping the community through education, entertainment, enriching family life and bringing people together irrespective of age, background, or gender. The City’s Libraries deliver a variety of programs and services for all ages focusing on literacy, lifelong learning, and digital literacy.

**About the Position**

Our team are looking to recruit Librarians to fill permanent full-time and part-time positions at Mirrabooka and Karrinyup Library. Applicants seeking casual positions are also encouraged to apply.

This key role supports the Branch Librarian in the overall management and administration of the branch library, and delivery of library programs and services.

**Key Responsibilities**

The duties of the Librarian will include but are not limited to:

- Contribute to the ongoing development of library services and the Community Services Business Unit via specific project teams as required and the strategic planning process.
- Contribute to the development of programmes, including training Library Officers, to assist library patrons requiring support with computers and technology, including accessing eContent as required.
- Develop and deliver innovative ideas and best practice, reference, information and other programmes and services to the public as part of the cultural, educational, and informational functions of the library.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Science, demonstrating eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Demonstrated understanding of public library and community places and their service provision.
- Experience planning and delivering programs (within branch and outreach).
- Digital literacy skills in general and library-specific technologies
- Understanding of public library and community places and their service provision.
- Valid Working With Children Check

This permanent position is a Level 5/6 Inside Workforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $77,514.91- $90,264.87 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
