Painting Trades Worker

Merc Group Projects is now looking for a Painting Trades Worker to join their team.
- Cover roofs with layers of roofing feel or asphalt strips before installing tile, slate, or composition materials;
- Monitor material inventory and cost-effectively buy painting materials (e.g., paint, brushes, drop cloths);
- Prepare walls, cabinets, siding, fences, and other surfaces for painting projects (e.g., scraping, sandpapering, paint removal);
- Repair cracks, dents, holes, and other minor surface damage with putty or plaster before painting;
- Mix paint colors to achieve the correct color and texture;
- Maintain a clean, tidy work area on job sites;
- Load and unload tools and equipment from work vehicles;
**About you**:

- At least 3 years of experience as a Painting Trades Worker;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong knowledge of painting tools;
- Excellent communications and team working skills;
Job type: Permanent/full-time

**Salary**: $70,000 - $85,000

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bentleigh, VIC 3204: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Painting Trades Worker: 3 years (preferred)
