Part of Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers, our Ammonium Nitrate businesses manufacture and supply ammonia, ammonium nitrate and industrial chemicals to the Western Australian mining and resource sector.

**About the role**

We are seeking a results-oriented Process Technician to play a key role in the running of our Ammonia and Ammonium Nitrate plants. You will receive the training and support required to become a key player in our growing business. As part of a skilled and motivated team, you will be dedicated to the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, whilst looking for opportunities for continuous improvement across the plant.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Carrying out work according to policies and procedures.
- Involvement in plant start-ups, shutdowns and achievement of plant utilisation and production targets.
- Assisting with plant problem solving and process improvements.
- Prioritise safety for self and others in all practices.

**Do you have the following skills and experience?**
- Previous experience working in chemical production plant operations. Ammonia, Nitric Acid or Ammonium Nitrate experience would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- A strong commitment to safety
- Excellent analytical skills and the capability to work autonomously without supervision
- Ability to carry out duties in accordance with documented procedures and an understanding of permitting systems
- Certificate III/IV in Process Plant Operations or working towards one would be advantageous
- Newly qualified technical professionals or tradespeople who are seeking operational experience are also welcome to apply.
