A vacancy currently exists in the ICT Branch for a
**Senior Security Analyst** to assist in the development and delivery of Council’s security strategy, policy, and standards.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator Cyber Security, the successful applicant will be responsible for minimizing the risk of internal and external security threats by managing and administering the ICT security policy, procedures and security operations within the ICT Branch.
**The salary package range for this role is**
**$100,107.84 to $106,175.89**

**What You'll Do - Your Responsibilities**
- Guide and collaborate with key internal stakeholders for the end-to-end design and development of cyber security solutions to meet business requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with Council’s cyber framework and standards.
- Lead cyber security initiatives within ICT to ensure security operations are effective at mitigating cyber related risk.
- Provide expert advice and support to Council staff in relation to cyber security including security by design, security operations and cyber governance risk and compliance.
- Proactively hunt and respond to threats and analyse and respond to current, emerging and organization specific threats.
- Recommend advanced security technology to enhance Council’s security posture.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- A Bachelor degree related to information security and extensive experience related to information security and systems or a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties of this role.
- Possession of ITIL Foundation Certification (or willingness to attain within 6 months).
- Demonstrated knowledge of information security principles including government legislation and industry frameworks including the ASP Information Security Manual, Essential 8, ISO27001 and IEC 62443
- Demonstrated experience in procuring, delivering, and administering security infrastructure.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience in delivering cyber security projects.
- A valid 'C' Class Driver’s license.
