As the Payroll Analyst, you will be the analyser and controller of payroll data across the group.

You will provide a high level of analytical and critical thinking as you ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll processes while being at the forefront of ongoing process improvement and compliance with legislation.

You will provide support for key business projects including M&A and be instrumental in creating strong working relationships to ensure timely project delivery.

Responsibilities include:
- Understand the end-to-end processing of payrolls for all nib companies including offshore- Understand and oversee quarterly returns, monthly & annual reporting & ATO reconciliations- Assist in the preparation, balancing & reconciliation of Payroll, PAYG, FBT, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, Payroll Tax and other payments- Interpret and understand conditions and entitlements in awards, enterprise agreements, company policies and individual contracts- Manage and review of new Workday integrations to Chris 21 to maintain data accuracy- Perform reconciliation of payroll data between Workday and Chris 21

Let’s talk about you

The successful person will have 3 years + proven experience in a similar analytical role along with previous payroll experience.

You will have a high level of analytical and critical thinking, excellent numeracy skills and a high attention to detail.

Furthermore we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of statutory requirements & regulations e.g., Superannuation, Leave & Payroll Tax etc- Experience in interpreting awards, company policy, individual contracts, rostering and enterprise agreements- Advanced excel skills - including pivot tables, vlookups, IF statements- Proven flexibility and adaptability, with a self-starter attitude, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities- Proven reconciliation skills and the ability to create reconciliation templates from scratch using excel- Ability to manage and resolve ad-hoc queries from across the business, enabling effective decision making, including Compliance and Audit requirements- Demonstrate leadership - ability to train, mentor and empower team and motivate employees- Experience using Chris 21 and/or Workday (desirable)
