**About the business**
Our clients are a family farming business operating over 4,100 hectares across two properties in the Young and Harden districts in the southwest slopes of NSW. Currently running 8,000 breeding ewes and trade up to 5000 merino wether lambs, and opportune agist and trade cattle.

They focus on growing highly improved pastures and quality crops for fodder and grain, annually planting 1700ha of winter crops including canola, wheat and barley.

The latest modern cropping equipment all including GPS technology is used, including
- John Deere tractors
- John Deere Header,
- Borghault 40ft air seeder

The livestock infrastructure includes:

- Sheep handlers
- Under cover yards/new woolshed
- Laneways connecting all paddocks to the yards and woolshed.
- Paddocks are setup for rotational grazing maintaining full groundcover.

**The role**
The role will be integral in implementing the annual cropping, grazing and pasture programs and will include livestock work, operation and maintenance of machinery and infrastructure.

The position requires you to work within an experienced and enthusiastic team. You must be a team player, be motivated and keen to learn and progress your career in agriculture. The role will be located on farm 20km from Young.

**Requirements & Skills**
We are searching for a passionate and enthusiastic young person to join our team as overseer in a fulltime permanent role reporting to the owner/manager.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in farming environments
- Experience in operating and maintaining a range of large farm machinery.
- Skills in maintenance and repairs of infrastructure
- Monitor of livestock health and crops
- Good record keeping.
- Driver’s licence, HC truck (preferred but not essential)
- Chemical users’ certificate
- Own working dogs would be well regarded.
