Join a Local Council as a Building Maintenance Officer, this is a technical role, no working on the tools required. The role is to support the building maintenance team in admin tasks and site visits for reactive and planned maintenance activities.
- 38 hours per week, 7:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday
- Based in West Footscray
- 1 month contract, with potential to extend
- $37.97 per hour + Superannuation

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that Building Maintenance activities are in accordance with the requirements of relevant specifications, work plans and within allocated budgets.
- Assist with the allocation and completion of customer requests received through Council's Customer Request System.
- Assist in preparation of contract documentation and specifications for associated maintenance work.
- Assist the Senior Building Maintenance Officer by reporting maintenance requirements including undertaking of annual building condition inspections.
- Respond to internal and external stakeholders promptly and with a high level of customer service.
- Participate in the development of new programs including Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement.
- Prepare and develop Safe Work procedures for various maintenance activities.
- Investigate and advise on appropriate response/action required for works and requests for services.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Advanced skills in the use of Excel and proficient in the use of Word, Windows, CM9 records management system.
- Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and other staff.
- Demonstrated experience in Building Maintenance and supervision.
- Experience in building and construction maintenance practices and techniques.
- Experience in contract documentation, administration, and management.
- Ability to interpret written instructions or plans including the assessment of works required and the appropriate methods or techniques to undertake to complete works.
- Current Australian Driver's license.
- Working with Children Check
