We now have an opportunity for a **Material Planner** to join our head office Supply Planning team in Mentone/Moorabbin. Reporting to the Supply Planning Lead, you will the provide the medium to long term forecast of material requirements to suppliers and the identification of any risks. You will coordinate the availability of key, strategic materials & packaging for our national network of manufacturing sites and ensure through site collaboration the maintenance of accurate information relating to the stock status.
This role is critical for successful supplier delivery to production requirements and continuous improvement of internal management processes.
**What you will do**:
- Mid to Long term material requirements planning for all suppliers including management of exceptions.
- Track contract coverage and ensure potential volume violations are escalated to procurement for resolution.
- Planning parameter maintenance for portfolio to enable valid requirement plans to be created.
- Collaborate and communicate with Procurement team, Vendor Schedulers and Vendors to monitor and manage supplier delivery performance.
- Execute and monitor any supplier managed inventory strategies.
- Manage and identify any Raw, Packaging & Work-in-Progress aging risks and escalate through the IBP cycle.
- Lead monthly planning meetings for key strategic supply partners and feed results into Supply Review.
- Collaborate with procurement team on business continuity plans for key strategic supply partners or capacity constrained suppliers.
**About you**:
- Experienced materials planning or scheduling within an Food/FMCG environment
- Attention to detail
- Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, particularly Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Knowledge of planning systems (PRMS and JDE desirable)
