**YOUR DAY-TO-DAY**

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic bookkeeper. The role is primarily responsible for the fundamental finance, accounting and regulatory requirements of the operations and a number of group entities.

Within this important and fast-paced role, the key duties are:

- Processing weekly payroll for the group and maintaining personnel records and payroll systems.
- Act as backup for order processing from our multi-state sales team
- Transaction processing, journals, bank and ledger reconciliations
- Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements across the group
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
- Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and proved insights to management
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and file Tax Returns and other government reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with other accounting principles and standards
- Provide support to other departments on financial matters as needed
- Have fast and accurate alpha-numeric data entry skills
- Be able to prioritise and work to daily deadlines
- Be efficient, thorough and well-organised with an eye for detail and accuracy

Have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to work independently or in a team environment

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Experience with Reckon a bonus
- CPA or CA certification is a plus

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
