This role is a great opportunity to be involved in the delivery of these truly innovative projects and progressing project excellence in Rio Tinto. The purpose of the broader team is to manage and deliver step change projects that will provide Rio Tinto with points of differentiation and strategic competitive advantage. This role will be based in Perth, Australia, and will initially support an exciting program of work delivering digital support for the wider business.

**Reporting to the Manager Technical Projects Services**, you will / have a:

- High level of technical writing experienced across a variety of technical disciplines and physical autonomy
- Engage stakeholder to obtain accurate and complex technical information and requirements
- Research internally and externally to gather relevant information and advise on the best means to communicate this to your audience
- Utilise a variety of media to deliver information (written, electronic, graphical, online) in a clear, concise and simple format
- Create and test end user centric documentation
- Experienced in knowledge, document and records management
- Ensure any work outputs consider existing Rio Tinto systems and additional systems in compliance with, and aligning to, Rio Tinto’s Safety Standards, branding guides, writing guides and initiatives

**About you**

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Recognised tertiary qualification/s or relevant industry experience in domains such as Science, Engineering, IT, Humanities, or Administration
- A number of years experience in similar role, an experienced SME and implementer
- Demonstrated experience in supporting IT / ICT / Technology programs and projects
- Experience with, MS word, MS teams, Excel
- Strong stakeholder management skills, and experience with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
- Proactive with ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Strong time management & organisation skills
- Positive attitude and growth mindset

**Where you will be working**

This role is based in Perth, at our head office, and working Monday to Friday.

The group operates through the entire life cycle of Rio Tinto’s mines and assets, creating value through exploration, project development and technical excellence.
