**About the role**:
A key role in our Turn Around team reporting into the Refinery Turnaround Manager you will manage the event team in planning and execution of the turnaround, the role duration will be on 3 year Fixed Term contract to coincide with the delivery of the Turnaround event. The RCCU turnaround is a high complexity event with an estimated value of AUD 80-100 million.

This event incorporates significant Capital Project work and directly influences the Refinery targets in HSSE, Unplanned Controllable Downtime (UCD) and cost. You will ensure the 2025 RCCU/HFA Turnaround and Project work are executed in line with HSSE requirements and meets all schedule, cost and quality targets. You will lead an event team of 30+ (VIVA/Contractor) and during execution phase direct field contractor numbers may reach 600+

Overall responsibility and accountability for the integration, cost and schedule of all aspects of the RCCU Turnaround and Project activities.

**You will;**
- Ensure all activities are conducted with HSE as the priority and in accordance with agreed procedures and principles (e.g. Life Saving Rules and Goal Zero).
- Represent the event team in the site Turnaround Steering Committee
- Deliver best in class Project and Turnaround execution in line with Global Manufacturing Standards.
- Ensure Turnaround execution is scoped, prepared and resourced according to the Turnaround Milestone Plan
- Manage all relevant interfaces: Refinery Leadership Team, Supply, Contractors etc.
- Responsibility for the FID estimate and delivering the turnaround event within approved budget.
- Manage a portfolio of project scope that will be integrated into the Turnaround event.
- Accountability for the development of a fully resourced P6 schedule including critical path optimisation.

**About you**:
You will be an experienced leader, delivering through others and have experience managing contractors on time critical projects with a hazardous environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is ideal, however extensive practical experience in petrochemical/manufacturing maintenance, with contract management and contractor management would be suitable.
- Experience in selecting and managing TA and Project/construction contractors together with CP, commercial management of TA and Project contractors, experience ensuring TA and project scope freeze criteria remain firmly in place.
- Comfortable setting and executing risk management evaluation of ‘discovery’ TA work and expertise in the evaluation of fit for purpose flawless processes for both shutdown and start up.
