**About the role**

As a Support worker, you will provide person-centred support to those who need assistance with daily practical tasks, including domestic duties and personal care, such as showering and hygiene. You will provide emotional support to clients and observe their physical and mental health, and document and report any changes. Improving people’s confidence and autonomy means you can increase their community participation and gain more value from their lives.

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other staff
- Provide quality in home and community support to our participants through meaningful activities
- Promoting participants choice and control in their daily activities
- Providing personal care with dignity such as grooming, dressing, showering etc.
- Record-keeping and documenting the changing needs of clients
- Following care plans to support participants live more independently
- Driving participants to community events, family visits, doctor’s appointment, shopping etc.
- Assisting our participants in achieving their goals in line of their NDIS plans
- A passion for assisting individuals with a disability to improve their quality of life and reach their potential
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check
- NDISWC
- First Aid
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Driver's Licence and own car, and a willingness to use for transporting clients (where required)
- COVID-19 Vaccination - 3 doses
- Available to work rotating rosters

How to Apply:

**Salary**: $22.65 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift

- Morning shift
- Rotating roster

- Strathfield NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
