**About the role**

Are you a risk-taking mastermind with a passion for insurance? RACQ is on the hunt an experienced professional to step into the role of Principal Risk Advisor. As our go-to expert, you'll be providing top-notch risk advisory and assurance services while working together with our second
- and third-line risk and compliance teams to implement unbeatable risk management strategies. Reporting to the manager, you'll be joining forces with the Finance, Partnerships, and Product teams to take our insurance game to the next level. Your key responsibilities include;
- Establishing effective working relationships with managers and staff at all levels
- Collaborating with, and supporting, other risk and compliance functional staff
- Supporting, advocating for, and guiding the implementation of localised risk management policies, processes and requirements with supported business groups
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the risk management framework.
- Undertake and support execution of assurance/compliance related checks of risk controls and treatments within the business.

**About you**
We are looking for someone energetic and pragmatic who has the desire to uncover the truth and delve deep into issues, practices and obstacles. As a go-to advisor, you will be genuinely ready to lead, influence, and drive positive changes across the business. Ideally you will have:

- A relevant tertiary study in accounting, commerce or similar
- A strong interest in economics, finances and financial services
- Risk, audit or governance experience, preferably within the insurance sector
- Knowledge of Insurance operations, and regulatory environments
- Critical analysis of problems to uncover hidden insights
