**About the role**:
As a Transportation Planning Manager, you'll be working with Kerry’s Transportation team, managing the transport network to ensure a positive experience to our internal and external customers.

**Key responsibilities**:
On a high level, this role will include:

- Ensuring carriers are following proper protocol regarding CoR-Saf & awareness, HACCP requirements and company directives.
- Partnering and collaborating with other functional areas as needed (Customer Service, Operations, Inventory Control, etc )
- Tracking and tracing activities to ensure optimal service.
- Collaborate with Finance resolve freight invoice discrepancies.
- Develop, manage, and report freight budget and spend.
- Managing carrier relationships to support the business.
- Holding carriers accountable for cost, service, and capacity commitments, tender acceptance & adhering to commitments.
- Review and report developments in the industry to report back risks & impacts to stakeholders.
- Maintain and develop KPIs and SLAs with the plants, managing issues as required.
- Identify opportunities to enhance utilization of systems across the plants relating to transport planning.
- Managing the transport team of two to ensure products are picked up and delivered on time.
- Management of the transport planning team to ensure payment issues, claims, service.
- Failures, and customer complaints are resolved.
- Capitalize on logistics & supply network opportunities to reduce costs.
- Define and manage routing criteria and rules for carrier selection.

**Qualifications and skills**:

- Minimum of a 4-year degree in business management, supply chain, or related field required.
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in transportation management with experience managing a small team.
- Able to present KPI’s, strategic plans & initiatives to business stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage freight cost to ensure budget is met.
- Solid knowledge of the claims process and The Carmack Amendment.
- An understanding of hazardous material shipping requirements.
- Able to work independently with quantitative analysis, partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of transportation networks and different service providers.
- Hands on experience using a TMS (Transportation Management System).
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Able to work independently and cooperatively in fast paced environment.
