**Providence Christian College is a co-educational, non-denominational, K-12 College with around 1100 students in Southern River, WA.**
Providence Christian College has a friendly, professional team of staff who provide a supportive work culture and a positive and inspiring work environment. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following Permanent, Full-time position commencing in January 2025.
**Community Chaplain**
**Essential Knowledge and Experience**:
You will have:
- an active Christian Faith
- a passion for providing social, emotional and spiritual support to staff and families within the College community.
- a heart for service to others and a commitment to fostering a supportive faith-based environment
- the capacity to work collegially in a team including the Church, Principal, College Counsellor, and College Chaplains to ensure the best outcomes for our students, families and staff
- previous experience in chaplaincy, counselling, or pastoral ministry is preferred.
**Personal Qualities**:
- You are passionate about living out your Christian faith and are prepared to model, uphold, and support the Ethos of the College and its Core Values.
- You have the appropriate qualifications to be a Chaplain in WA.
- You are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that our students, families and staff have easy access to quality pastoral care.
- You are comfortable with digital technology and confident using it in your ministry at the College.
- You are deeply relational, friendly and open to learning and growing in the role.
- You have excellent communication skills, using verbal and written communication effectively with students, families and staff members.
**Qualifications**:
- Qualifications in Ministry and/or Theology, Psychology or Counselling.
- Current Working With Children Card.
- Current Police Clearance.
**Additional Requirements**:
- The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principles Child Safe Modules if not already completed.
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia).
- The successful applicant will be expected to be or become a member and regular attender at either Thornlie Church of Christ or Southern River Church of Christ.
