Collection Archivist

The primary purpose of the role is to perform a range of archival duties, including the arrangement and description of public records, performing research in the archival collection and undertaking data analysis.In this role you will: - undertake arrangement and description activities of archival records in all formats according to the Australian Series System and institutional standards. improve discoverability of First Nations records through metadata enhancement. perform complex research, analysis and manipulation of collection management data. undertake research and assessment of archival records to identify records related to/impacting on First Nations people. support and contribute to projects under the First Nations Metadata Improvement Program.For further details about what the role entails, mandatory requirements and how you will be assessed, we encourage you to read the attached role description and talk to the contact officer.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/469848/23Closing Date: Monday, 20 February 2023This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
