Our established and growing sheet metal fabrication business is seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team at our Derrimut site. This position requires a high attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various sheet metal press machines to produce high-quality components used in the manufacturing process. **Responsibilities**: - Operate and maintain sheet metal press machines. - Set up and adjust machine controls to ensure accurate and precise forming of sheet metal. - Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications. - Inspect and measure the produced parts to ensure they meet quality standards and acceptable tolerance allowances. - Follow work orders and technical drawings to accurately complete assigned tasks. - Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. - Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. - Minimise wastage and create efficiencies where possible. **Requirements**: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in sheet metal fabrication is a plus. - Proven experience operating sheet metal press machines. - Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes. - Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, and work orders. - Ability to create a flat cutting pattern from 3D drawings - Ability to read precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to fulfil customer orders.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Schedule:
