The Corporate Group works across the breadth of the department, providing a diverse range of professional advice and services, and enabling the delivery of the department’s significant regulatory, policy and agenda.

The role we have reflects the Governance team’s diverse range of responsibilities. Responsibilities include the oversight of the many Board and Council appointments in the Portfolio, management of the department’s conflict of interest and probity arrangements, as well as overseeing the department’s annual business planning arrangements.

You will be supported by a small team, and work under the direction of an EL2 Director.

The role is varied and dynamic, but typical duties include:

- Providing oversight and advice concerning Board appointments.
- Undertaking briefing assisting the department in meeting its reporting requirements in regard to Portfolio Board.
- Leading work associated with the department’s response to the Review of Public Sector Board Appointments Processes.
- Working with department functional areas to develop and finalise annual business plans.
- Manage the department’s annual conflict of interest processes.
- Day to day oversight of departmental coordination tasks.
- Supporting the EL2 and/or the Branch Assistant Secretary as required.

**Who are we looking for?**:
For this role, you will be required to undertake corporate service delivery functions that can be very complex or sensitive, operating under broad direction. You will also need to exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role in supporting the Director as required. This role will entail the supervision of a small number of employees performing diverse tasks, and so taking responsibility for the achievements of own and team outcomes, monitor progress and follow through to deliver quality outcomes is critical.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate initiative and the capability of joining a small team and undertaking corporate functions quickly and to a high standard.
