Our Global Energy Client are on the hunt for a Lead Environmental Advisor based in Perth for a 12-month contract with potential to extend.

**Where you fit in**:
As we transition to cleaner forms of energy, the challenge facing the energy industry in the coming decades is considerable. To access stranded gas reserves, the client embarked on a first-of-a-kind FLNG concept, resulting in a complex offshore facility. Environmental advisors are vital in managing risks, preventing harm, and achieving our environmental ambition of safeguarding and valuing nature by being a part of the solution to global challenges across the lifecycle of our products. You are going to be a key part of the Australian Environment and Carbon Team, a team of professionals who are passionate about helping safely deliver cleaner energy solutions.

**Position Description**:
As the Lead Environment Advisor, you will support the west coast environment deliverables for Prelude, East Browse backfills, NOVs, New energies, NBD, and exploration. You are expected to manage specialist contracts and will have multiple internal and external stakeholder interfaces. You will report to the Environment Manager West and assist the Environment and Carbon West team.

You will thrive on partnering with the business to deliver high quality technical solutions that comply with risk-based Regulations, and directly supporting our operations. Specifically, your role will focus on protecting and enhancing the natural environment and contributing towards the client’s net-zero emissions and social license to operate strategic ambitions by:

- Supporting Prelude’s Environment regulatory and HSSE & SP Control framework compliance.
- Coordinate the 2023 ISO 14001 Environment Management System Surveillance audit.
- Providing technical environmental and Carbon advice and support to the Prelude asset and NOV West Portfolio as required.
- Waste focal for the West. This includes the following key scope:

- Provide technical advice and support to the Prelude Turnaround in 2023.
- Lead development of the Prelude Waste Action Plan.
- Water Stewardship focal point for the West. This includes the following scope:

- Lead the development of the first Prelude Water Stewardship Action Plan.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification (desired) in a technical/environment related discipline (essential).
- Proven ability to deliver high quality technical environmental work and positively impact environmental culture.
- Offshore operational experience and knowledge of industry process environmental risks and delivering current best practice controls.
- Waste and water management experience highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and a willingness to proactively connect stakeholders across the business.
- The courage to share views, insights, uncomfortable truths whilst accepting and supporting decisions made.
- Relentless drive for simplification and improvement.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities. Consistently display a “can-do”, delivery mindset.
