**Client Details**

Our client are a leading, global supplier of Locomotive Rolling Stock and work across multiple Government Projects covering manufacturing, maintenance and signalling solutions.

With various locations across Australia including Bowen Hills and Wulkuraka. The site in Wulkuraka is a large site to join and progress within, covering all maintenance aspects.

**Description**

Joining the Rolling Stock Team in Wulkuraka as a Electrical Fitter will see you:
- Carry out routine examinations
- Fault finding
- Interrogation and diagnostic testing on heavy rail equipment installed on the QNGR Project.
- Actively maintain and repair rail equipment installed
- Fulfil safety procedures
- Report daily and weekly on activity, problems found, and measures taken to maintain
- Operating and maintaining workshop equipment
- Following instructions to complete tasks, and the ability to work both in a team and independent environment
- General workshop duties
- Wheel sets and bogie change outs

**Profile**

To be successfully considered for the role you will require:
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Australian qualifications as a Electrical Fitter, Turner, or Machinist
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Ability to complete shift work
- Excellent communication skills
- Rolling stock / Aviation / Mining experience a bonus
- Experience with working on Bogies is highly desirable
- Experience with CNC
- Ability to pass a category 2 rail medical
- Ability to pass a police check
- Minimum of 2 work history references will be required
- Complete an Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing check.

**Job Offer**

The role is projected to be a permanent position directly with Alstom.

The role hours will be 5.30am starts to begin with then progress to a 24/7 lifestyle roster. Penalty rates are applicable where relevant.
