**About the opportunity**:
As a Research Assistant, Clinical Trials within our Faculty of Health, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Director, Healing Climate Trauma Initiative, Clinical Trials Manager, and Clinical Research Fellow to coordinate the implementation of clinical trials with a focus on a stepped care clinical project. This position is key to the project as it is the point of contact for our Clinical Trials, and support the important Healing Climate Trauma Initiatives.
This is a world first project that will be conducting two clinical trials, the first one initially using compassion programs to help people in Northern Rivers who have experienced climate-related PTSD. The second trial will be a psychedelic trial over 2-3 sites with the aim to help people who still have resistant PTSD to help heal their relationship with nature and their mental health.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct all aspects of the clinical trial, from participant recruitment to data management, stakeholder engagement
- Maintain clinical trial administrative and governance systems, documents, records and files
- Support project leaders in monitoring and tracking the progress of clinical trial deliverables
This role requires an experienced research assistant that will have hands-on experience in coordinating and managing clinical trials, providing valuable insight into the research process and contributing to meaningful advancements in the field of Health.
**About you**:
- Up-to-date Good Clinical Practice certification (ICH-GCP), or ability to obtain prior to commencement, and demonstrated medical terminology knowledge and understanding.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills; high-level attention to detail and capability to record detailed information competently and accurately with ability to prioritise competing tasks
- Demonstrated well-developed written skills, with the capability to contribute meaningfully to project documents and research publications

- Part-time (80%),Fixed term (26 Months)
- Located at our Lismore campus
- HEW Level 5. The full-time equivalent (FTE) base salary ranges from $76,892 - $85,445, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $99,970
