About the Role
- Design, implement and evaluate a variety of recreational, diversional and social activities to improve or maintain the physical and mental function of inpatient consumers.
- Employ organisational techniques to plan, document, implement and evaluate a comprehensive recreational and diversional therapy program for the consumers in collaboration with nursing, allied health staff and other team members appropriate to consumers.
- A Certificate IV - Allied Health Assistant or equivalent is required for this position. Evidence of any qualifications must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of duties.
- Advanced Certificate in Disability Studies or Certificate IV in Health and Community Services (Diversional Therapy) or Equivalent from recognised tertiary institutions.
