Position in context
Reporting into eSmart Schools Team Leader, the eSmart Advisor provides tailored support to schools, working with them to set, achieve and maintain their commitment to online safety, and create a culture that promotes the positive use of digital technology. eSmart is underpinned by the eSafety Commissioner’s Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education, an evidence-based best practice framework for a nationally consistent approach to online safety education in schools.
eSmart has a **whole school approach, **ensuring that online safety is embedded in school leadership, governance, and culture. Schools self-select and/or work with an eSmart Advisor to plan their eSmart journey based on the specific needs of their students, school community and curriculum plans and have greater control over which unit(s) they want to do, where they start and their level of engagement. eSmart actively connects whole school communities to encourage a unified approach to keeping children safe online.
The role is formally based in South Melbourne but will **predominately work with schools in the southwestern region of Victoria **. We support our staff to work flexibly, both in location and hours, based on the premise that work will remain the focus of any arrangement. Regular travel (including metro and regional) is required to provide in person support to schools through training, presentations as well as ongoing guidance via phone or virtual meetings.

Major job responsibilities
- Work with schools within allocated catchment to set, achieve and maintain their commitment to online safety through the implementation of eSmart, including eSmart digital learning products.
- Set and work towards KPIs based on priority schools and level of support (from new to engage and active schools).
- Provide tailored support to classroom teachers and school leadership, based on the identified needs of their students, school community and curriculum plans,
- Delivery of face-to-face and virtual workshops and training sessions to schools, teaching staff, students and parents to introduce the program, provide support and engagement.
- Contribute to content review and development of eSmart resources and products to ensure it meets the existing and emerging needs of teachers and whole-of-school communities.
- Monitor the engagement and support provided to schools through the CRM and use CRM insights to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within schools and across the education sector (Government, Catholic and Independent).
- Support implementation plan for eSmart to achieve optimal service delivery, including delivering to the contractual funding objectives and targets.
- Support innovation through engagement with children and young people to inform the design, implementation and continuous improvement of high impact programs and products, as required.
- Work with people leader to develop and successfully execute a personal work plan that is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Foundations and will meet key deliverables.
- Other tasks as directed by the eSmart Advisor Team Leader, Head of Digital Citizenship Programs and Executive Team.Contributing positively to the Foundation’s culture of We are stronger together through developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues to achieve program outcomes and strategic impact.
