Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary opened in 1927 as a safe refuge for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas. Today, Lone Pine remains a much loved and iconic destination for local and international guests to not only see native Australian animals, but to also connect and learn. **About the position**:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our sanctuary Cleaning Service team on a casual basis for up to 38 hours per week, on a casual basis. We would like to welcome someone who is enthusiastic about coming to work everyday and it is crucial that our new team member will take genuine pride in their role and duties.
The cleaning team are fundamental to the ongoing success and appearance of Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and they are key to helping our visitors experience a pleasant and enjoyable day.
This joint position reports directly to the Wildlife Admin Manager.
The sanctuary is open 7 days a week, therefore it is crucial that our cleaning services team members are available every day, including weekends and public holidays. We create rotational rosters to ensure fairness in the cleaning team.
Experience in the Tourism sector would be beneficial, however not essential.
**We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will**:

- Experience using and understanding chemicals
- Adhere to and comply with to safety standards
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Hold a valid, open driver’s license
- Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
**Cleaning Role Responsibilities**:
- Cleaning and maintenance of toilet facilities throughout park
- Cleaning and maintenance of multiple office and staff buildings
- Emptying and cleaning of rubbish bins throughout park
- Park grounds tidying and presentation
- General cleaning and maintenance of common areas around park
- Maintaining all equipment in working order
- Ensuring that stock at all areas is at appropriate levels everyday
- Advising appropriate person if stock is low
- Reporting any damage to any fixtures or equipment immediately
- Being punctual
- Adhering to and understanding all SOP’s relevant to your role
- Adhering to the Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time
- Being punctual

- Adhering to the CATER Core Values, Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures
- Ensuring that all equipment used during shift is kept in good working order
