Doggy Daycare Teacher

While working with dogs sounds like a lot of fun (and it is) it is also a very demanding job physically and mentally.

Paws & Relax team is hiring for 2x Doggy Daycare Teacher roles. We are looking for people with experience working with dogs and understanding their behaviour, you need to be enthusiastic, eager to learn, extremely dependable and have great customer service is a must

**What you will be doing**

In this exciting and busy role, you will be responsible for:

- constantly watching the welfare of 20 dogs in your care
- engaging, playing, loving and training dogs basic manners
- delivering a high-quality, service to our dogs and pet parents
- taking photos of daycare dogs and posting to our community page
- working harmoniously with our team and independently
- cleaning, cleaning, and MORE cleaning.

**What we are looking for**

We are looking for someone who would love to have the opportunity to learn with us and gain experience on how to care for dogs using positive and force free methods. Training is provided on the job including several short courses on dog behaviour and dog group management.

If you are put off by smelly odours, slobber, loud noises, wee and poo, this is not the job for you We are looking for people who would love to become part of a team, You need to be:

- flexible and able to improvise and adapt to whatever the dogs throw at us on any given day
- extremely quick on your feet and fast thinking, with the ability to multitask
- a lover of all size and breed of dogs
- able to understand dog body language
- proactive, outgoing, and energetic
- highly motivated, positive, reliable attitude, ready to jump in and help your team
- not afraid to get your hands dirty as there is a lot of cleaning
- good physical condition as there is an element of heavy lifting and requirement to be on your feet for lengthy periods of time
- able to work shifts rostered 4 to 8 hrs, Monday to Friday between 6:30 am - 6:30 pm.
