John Street Community Early Childhood Co-op is a not-for-profit centre nestled in the leafy surroundings of Fitzroy. A 57 place centre, John Street has been operational since 1976 and we continue to pride ourselves on our close-knit community and commitment to providing high-quality education and care to all the children at the service. Our team is driven by a shared passion for nurturing young minds and empowering children to reach their full potential.

**Description**

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with educators to provide curriculum direction and guidance
- Lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among staff
- Build strong relationships with children and families
- Advocate for the rights of children through your work as an active participant in the wider sector

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Teaching OR several years' experience in the sector, holding a similar role
- Excellent understanding of pedagogy and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for building relationships and creating engaging social and learning environments
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
