**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Project Officer is responsible for providing proactive coordination, administration and project management support to the Open Space Planning and Green Infrastructure team, with a particular focus on the delivery of green infrastructure projects and services which increase the overall greening of the City of Melbourne through the creation of new green infrastructure (green roofs, walls and facades) in both the public and private realm, to ensure the city is better adapted to climate change.

The Project Officer will provide project management, technical advisory, customer support, communications, development of projects and administration of services within the green infrastructure portfolio, or other projects as determined by the Senior Green Infrastructure Officer or Manager.

The Project Officer also provides technical advice and support to wider project teams at Council with regard to the delivery of green infrastructure projects and services across the City of Melbourne.

**What you will bring**
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values - accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- A tertiary qualification in Ecosystems or Environmental Science, Horticulture, Urban Planning, or Landscape Architecture and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience and applied knowledge of urban greening and green infrastructure project development, administration and service delivery.
- Project management skills and demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects within timelines and budgets.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with a proven ability to maintain networks and engage with research, industry, community and business stakeholders.
- Customer service skills and demonstrated ability to be professional, courteous and maintain confidentiality.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven written and oral communication skills.Experience working in Local Government will be highly regarded, although not essential to the position..
