**What you'll be doing**

The Drug & Alcohol Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse & Neglect (PARVAN) position will work with PARVAN services to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The clinician will be required to assist with building collaborative clinical relationships and capacity building initiatives to improve the response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect within the Drug & Alcohol Service. This position will work alongside and collaborate with PARVAN services to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The position will play a key role in collaborating with PARVAN services for the NSW Health’s Adult Survivors Program - a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs.

The clinician is responsible for senior clinical leadership and the provision of person centred, evidence-based care that promotes positive health outcomes. The clinician will maintain therapeutic and professional relationships with clients as well as families, groups, and communities within the Drug & Alcohol and PARVAN services. Staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with clients and employees.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Successful applicants to the role must provide certified documentation of vaccination history and pathology as part of their recruitment documentation. **Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience in the drug and alcohol field and specialist knowledge of the intersection of violence, abuse and neglect including child protection, domestic violence, sexual assault, mental illness, y with drug and alcohol.
- Demonstrated extensive experience of providing drug and alcohol counselling, and the development and facilitation of group programs.
- Demonstrated high level ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing, and proven ability to foster and sustain key relationships with relevant stakeholders, and work effectively and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement activities, and service evaluation processes.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence, with the ability to travel in accordance with position responsibilities.
