**PRE-SCHOOL TEACHER**
**PART-TIME, MATERNITY LEAVE COVER
Cranbrook School is seeking an experienced and energetic early childhood Teacher to join
our dynamic Pre-school team, commencing in August 2023.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

The position will be based at St Michael’s Pre-School at Vaucluse on a part-time (0.8 FTE)
basis working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Pre-School Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering the highest quality
educational experience for all children attending the Pre-school.

You are a progressive, globally minded, enthusiastic and dedicated educator, with the

Capable of working collaboratively within a team to plan and deliver high quality teaching
and learning programmes, and possessing an exemplary understanding of best practice,
you sustain a deep commitment to implement rigorous, highly differentiated programmes
in a pre-school setting.

You are an excellent communicator, creative, and able to work well with students, parents
and other teachers. You are committed to continual professional development and
reflection, and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree or similar as approved by the Australian
Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)

- NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales
- Demonstrated and perceptive understanding of the role of evidence in informing

teaching and learning
- Experience in digital documentation and journals
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law, the Education

and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Framework, and the Early
Years Learning Framework

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be
advantageous.
