This position requires you to be an Australian Citizen with a NV2 government security clearance.

**Position Overview**

This position is responsible for maintaining high level COMSEC account procedures IAW national doctrine and Penten procedures. You are to inform and educate other employees on best practice of COMSEC responsibilities and collaborate with the COMSEC team to ensure compliance of people, equipment, material and infrastructure.

Based in Canberra and reporting to the Head of Secure Mobility, you will be required to encompass COMSEC policy advice, internal auditing, COMSEC training, customer service, HACE fleet management, business planning, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and management reporting.

As part of the Secure Mobility Business Unit who are responsible for delivering world-class cyber security technology to Government and Defence, the CAM is to work collaboratively with members of the COMSEC team and the service delivery team to provide high assurance COMSEC accounting and practices in support of Penten provided networks.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The CAM is required to provide advice to staff, client and agencies on best COMSEC practices IAW National COMSEC policy. Penten provides world-class, innovative cyber technologies to Government and Defence and as such, requires bespoke solutions that enable risk mitigation whilst adhering to the overarching COMSEC intent. The CAM will be required to perform the following:

- Establish and maintain routine practices for COMSEC accountability
- Have a thorough understanding of COMSEC Governance procedures and ensure all relevant practices are being undertaken strictly to the policy requirements
- Request dispensations where required for a change in accounting procedures to support the assurance of cryptographic material and equipment
- Report any compromise/suspected compromise in the correct timeframes, to the appropriate recipients
- Ensure Safehand procedures are adhered to and are relevant to the required consignment
- Engage with the team and stakeholders on best COMSEC practice for the security and functionality of Penten EUD’s and networks
- Inform the authority on specific COMSEC requirements to ensure risk mitigation and assurance
- Provide feedback on policy and documentation as directed by Penten and/or the authority
- Act within the boundaries of COMSEC service agreements in supporting, managing and maintaining healthy COMSEC practices for all Penten products and networks
- Maintain communications and requests for issue, transfer and destruction of COMSEC material and/or equipment
- Maintain relations with supporting COSMEC accounts including boundaries and requirements agreed upon in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
- Be prepared to brief customers and clients on COMSEC accountability as part of operating an End User Device (EUD)
- Provide critical thinking and bespoke solutions as required to enhance the operational capability of Penten products to inform changes in national policy

**Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience**

The CAM must display the following knowledge, skills and qualifications for success in this role:

- Defence COMSEC Accounting Course qualified
- Hold a COMSEC position within the last five years
- Hold and maintain a minimum NV2 clearance
- Qualifications and experience in AEKMS/AKMI is desired
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in document and policy writing
- Understanding of the COMSEC structure within Government and Defence
