The Computer Monitors Product Manager (Monitor PM) position is responsible for the product management of Samsung Electronics’ Computer Monitors Category within the Consumer Electronics division. They will champion the Monitor product category by ensuring execution of effective go-to-market strategies across multiple channels and the establishment of long-term sustainable growth.

Primary role includes product life cycle management, strategy definition for each sub-category (Everyday, Gaming, Smart, High Resolution, B2B), quarterly planning, market analysis, business case development, product positioning & segmentation, promotional activity planning, pricing strategy, as well as managing and monitoring the overall direction for the category. This role works closely with sales, marketing, operations and service teams.

The Monitor PM must be able to work across multiple functions and geographic locations to drive the commercialisation and marketing of Samsung’s monitor product range. PM capabilities include being the No.1 representative and advocate of Samsung’s monitor product solutions with a strong understanding of customer, market requirements and trends.

Role and Responsibilities

Drive the Monitor strategy for Samsung Australia through:

- Create, maintain and communicate the Samsung monitor strategy
- Develop a unique Value Proposition to market to internal and external stakeholders
- Support the quotation of B2B focused projects
- Work on new product launch strategies in collaboration with marketing, Social & PR teams and key partners
- Balancing revenue, profit and market share growth in-line with management objectives
- Multi-channel promotional activities to maximise sell-out in particular during key promotional periods
- Work closely with our training team to deliver best-in-class training programs to our key partners (supporting with value proposition, range overview, market trends and opportunities)

Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle steps including product & market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, exit strategy and go-to-market strategy.
- Cross-collaboration across major groups including Operations, Product Development, Business Development, Global Sales, Marketing, Finance and Services
- Develop and communicate product positioning in each targeted channels (Retail, IT Resellers, B2B and D2C) with appropriate differentiators to competition
- Establish and adjust product pricing strategies for new and existing products to maximise Samsung’s competitiveness in the Monitor category
- Contribute to identification, evaluation and recommendations of marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives including leading customer or market driven product proliferation projects
- Strong financials focus on achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, profit and market share targets
- Preparation and submission of product forecasts in collaboration with Sales and Operations teams

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in business marketing, management, Information Technology is desirable
- Preferred experience in Consumer Electronics, Computer Hardware, Retail & FMCG desirable
- 5+ years of experience in product/category management
- Proven track records in category strategy implementation and sales & market shares growth
- Experience and desire in working with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and taking calculated risks.
- Project management skills ensuring activities are delivered on-time, every time
- Ability to operate and learn in a fast paced environment
- High degree of influence, belief and creativity with excellent written & verbal communications skills
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills as a self-starter to drive to make a difference
