HOBAN Recruitment is currently partnering with a respected **NSW Local Council **in the search for a highly capable individual to join as a **Operations Worker (Driver) - Waste Services **located in **Auburn**.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the delivery of the team work plans as required and ensure that work is undertaken according these established work plans for the collection of street and park litter bins, commercial waste service bins and illegally dumped rubbish.
- Undertake all duties in such a manner that will enable the section to operate in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Maintain a strong customer focus throughout all duties.
- Ensure all requirements of Council Policies, Australian Standards and Government Acts and Regulation are adhered to at all times.
- Drive and operate plant and equipment as required to perform the duties of the position.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and environmental protection in all works under your control and adhere to all procedures in place to maintain that all plant and equipment is in a safe operational condition.
- Ensure that the allocated items of plant are operated in a competent and safe manner at all times and that the requirements of the Australian Road Rules are complied with.
- Ensure that scheduled maintenance is carried out on plant and equipment and advise your supervisor of any faulty equipment and follow all adopted procedures in the reporting of the faults.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Hold a current class HR Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated ability to operate waste service plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of waste service operations
- Ability to work as a team, follow direction and work with minimum supervision
