**About the opportunity**

The Service Continuity Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive IT service continuity and disaster recovery strategies, plans, and procedures across the enterprise. The role plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, resilience, and rapid recovery of our IT systems and services.
- The IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT Operations and Support, Information Security, and other business stakeholders, to establish and maintain robust IT service continuity and disaster recovery capabilities for the organisation.

- Develop and implement IT service continuity and disaster recovery strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical IT services.
- Conduct business impact analysis (BIA) to identify critical IT services and assess their importance to the organization.
- Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) for critical IT systems and services.
- Design and implement robust data backup and recovery solutions, including off-site and cloud-based backup strategies.
- Establish and maintain redundant systems, infrastructure, and network configurations to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Develop and document detailed disaster recovery plans outlining step-by-step procedures for recovering IT systems and services.
- Regularly test, validate, and update IT service continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure the alignment of IT service continuity and disaster recovery plans with security requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to IT service continuity and disaster recovery.

**About you**
- 5+ years relevant industry experience in a similar role within complex IT and service environments
- Proven experience in IT service continuity, disaster recovery, or related roles, with a track record of successful planning and execution.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and architectures, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in conducting business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify critical IT services and potential threats.
- Experience in designing and/or governing data backup and recovery solutions, including backup software, replication technologies, and cloud-based backup strategies.
- Solid understanding of recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO), and the ability to translate them into actionable recovery plans.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards related to IT service continuity and disaster recovery, such as ISO 22301 and NIST SP 800-34.
- Ability to present to executive forums on risk profile and continuity preparation and testing
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
- ITIL v4 Foundation and Business Continuity certification (BCI Best Practices or ISO22301) highly desirable.
- ITIL Intermediate certificate in Service Design or Planning, Protection & Optimisation preferred.

You will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically during crisis situations. You will also have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
