Diesel Fitter

Australian Power Corporation is a veteran in the generator industry (38 Years). We are looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter with good exposure to Diesel Generators.

**Qualifications & experience**
- (Must-have) At least 3 years experience as a Diesel Fitter
- (preferred) 3 years experience with generators
- (preferred) Experience with the following engines: Cummins, Caterpillar, Kubota, Komatsu, Perkins, and Hino

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Investigate, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel standby and prime power generator engines
- Make modifications to diesel generator systems, including installation of pre-heaters; battery chargers; fuel systems, and other related diesel parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance including checking for leaks, worn parts, taking oil samples
- Orders and installs replacement parts.
- Adjusts, calibrates, and inspects the operation of generators.
- Prepare records of repairs, maintenance, parts ordered, and parts used
- Document modifications to systems and update manuals.
- Assist in transporting equipment, tools, and fluids to and from work sites.
- Operate and maintain equipment, tools, and safety devices that are designed to lift, move, transport, repair, inspect, measure, or protect
- Work Rights
- Must have full working rights in Australia

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
