**About our opportunity**

We have a new and exciting **part time** Gallery Officer opportunity in our Caboolture Regional Art Gallery

As a Gallery Officer, you will be overseeing routine gallery operations and assisting with the development, promotion and delivery of exciting public programs and events. From tours and art workshops to family friendly events and exhibition openings - your duties will be varied and fast paced

You will have the rewarding opportunity to assist the Gallery Leader in developing team members’ skills by overseeing their routine tasks and identifying opportunities for their learning and growth within the industry - all whilst building upon your own leadership skills.

With this oversight, you will also ensure that the presentation of a continual exhibition program generates positive visitor experiences for all to enjoy. Your role is integral to developing our galleries as community hubs for experiencing, learning and engaging with art.

Other duties of the Gallery Officer will involve reviewing gallery processes and procedures and preparing information required for venue performance reporting.

**About you**

As you will be overseeing gallery team members perform their duties, it is important that you can demonstrate leadership qualities and experiences that align with our culture and values. As a must, you will have exceptional time management skills and interpersonal skills to ensure a strong focus on the provision of exceptional visitor experiences.

As a Gallery Officer, you will have:

- Sound experience and knowledge in the operations of a visitor-focussed cultural facility.
- Solid experience in overseeing staff to deliver high quality visitor experiences and day to day administrative tasks.
- Sound experience and knowledge in the development and delivery of public programs.
- Well-developed interpersonal and time management skills, with a focus on the provision of exceptional visitor experience.
- Sound experience collating data and preparing reports.
- Certificate III in Information and Cultural Services or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Current Confirmed Suitability for Child Related Employment from the Queensland Commission of Children and Young People (Working with Children Check) or ability to confirm suitability within two months of engagement.
- Current C class drivers’ licence

You will hold a valid Qld Working with Children Blue Card or be eligible and willing to obtain prior to commencement.

**Hours of Work**

The Gallery Officer position is **part-time** and as our galleries are open weekends, the following availability at Caboolture venue is required: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and every second Thursday from 9.45am until 4.15pm. The successful applicant will be required to work this set roster.
