Perth Childrens Hospital Foundation is currently seeking to appoint an experienced
**Risk and Compliance Officer** in what is a newly created role, reporting directly to the CFO.

The Risk and Compliance Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of policy, risk management, governance and compliance frameworks and practices, across the Foundation.

**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:

- Developing and ensuring the alignment of governance, risk, compliance, and assurance frameworks within overall strategic objectives.
- Facilitating the promotion of a strong culture of risk and compliance awareness and management across the organisation with a focus on building capability and maturing the organisation’s enterprise risk and compliance management capabilities
- Ensuring the Foundation has contemporary risk management principles, and effective tools, controls and systems in place.
- Support in the proper maintenance of the Board’s governing documents and governance registers in line with regulatory requirements and policies.
- Working with the CFO to ensure business continuity management recovery, emergency plans and critical incident management plans are developed, and appropriately implemented and maintained.
- Develop, manage, monitor and report on the overarching work, health and safety framework, WHS Risk registers, work safe policies, standard operating procedures, and safety resources in line with regulatory and legislative changes and evolving Foundation needs.

**To be successful in the role you should have**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a governance, risk, compliance or assurance role.
- Knowledge of industry and professional standards, frameworks, and tools to support risk management and compliance.
- Knowledge of safety culture and incident management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement systems, frameworks, policies, procedures and processes for the identification, collection and analysis of risk, compliance, and safety related information.
- Highly developed presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to influence and liaise, interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and drive risk mitigation/management solutions.
- A commitment to quality control and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exemplary project and time management skills with the capability of managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Ability to commit to a 2-year fixed contract term.
