McGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Agronomist to join our team of professionals. As an Agronomist, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to our agricultural clients. This is a full-time position located across our newly acquired Darling Downs Branch's - Toowoomba and Cecil Plains.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting on-site visits to assess the health and condition of crops
- Providing tailored recommendations to clients regarding crop management, fertilisers, and insect and weed control
- Developing and implementing effective strategies to maximise crop yield and quality
- Collaborating with farmers to understand their specific needs and challenges
- Staying informed about industry advancements, market trends, and regulatory requirements
- Offering training and guidance to clients on best practices for sustainable farming
- Producing detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of agronomy best practices and innovative technologies

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Degree in Agronomy or related field
- Proven experience as an agronomist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of crop management and agricultural practices
- Strong understanding of soil science and plant nutrition
- Ability to analyse data and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using agronomy software and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required'
