We are currently looking for
**Food & Beverage Attendant** on a part-time temporary basis working a maximum of 21 hours a week on
**Monday, Wednesday** and
**$36.00 per hour (includes the casual loading / flat rate).** The tenure will commence ASAP through to the 22 December 2023 and we are looking for an
**immediate start.**

**Location**:
**Belmont Civic Centre, Cloverdale**

**Role Purpose**:
To assist in the provision of catering services to the organization, functions, administration and other identified activities in a professional manner.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Assist the Functions Officer in ordering stock and supplies for catering and civic functions, adhering to the City’s purchasing policy at all times.
- Assist the Functions Officer in determining food and beverage requirements and arrangements for applicable meetings and functions.
- Assist the Functions Officer in regular stock inventories of catering and functions items to identify any items that need replacing or renewing.
- Assist the Functions Officer to regularly review the internal catering menu, researching new ideas and products adhering to the City’s commitment to healthy eating.
- Deliver tea trolleys at the Civic Centre, including collecting and washing cutlery and crockery.
- Set up and pack down of meeting rooms to a prescribed standard in preparation for scheduled meetings, functions and dinners in accordance with booking requests as required.
- Set up trolleys with refreshments and crockery / cutlery and deliver these to various venues within the Civic Centre for meetings, including collecting and clearing these trolleys after meetings.
- Prepare light meals and refreshments for Council and staff functions and other meetings, as required.
- Ensure that all relevant equipment is kept to the appropriate level of cleanliness including fridges, microwaves, ovens, urns, tablecloths and other relevant equipment and materials.
- Re-stock allocated fridges with appropriate items including those in the Chief Executive Officer’s and Mayor’s offices as well as the Civic Centre meeting rooms and ensure that the staff fridge is stocked with milk, to meet day to day requirements.

**Requirements of the Job**:

- Previous relevant experience working in catering or a food handling role.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service.
- Good organizational and administrative skills.
- A demonstrated understanding of appropriate hygiene standards in relation to food preparation and handling.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously, under mínimal supervision.
- A good understanding of Work, Health & Safety requirements, as they relate to this position.
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months).
- Formal training in the area of catering or food handling **(desirable).**:

- Possession of a current motor vehicle driver’s license **(desirable).
