**Ventia **are currently looking to engage an experienced **Tractor & Slasher/Groundsperson** on our Defence Base Services Contract. This position will see you working at Defence base Bullsbrook, within a well-established maintenance team.This role will see you maintain a wide variety of built and natural Parks assets including streetscapes, training grounds, verges, playgrounds, sporting and recreational grounds.This position is a full-time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday, 04:00am - 12:30pm (with overtime opportunities) and a 10:00am finish on Fridays.The payrate for this position is $29.54 per hour.- To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check._

**The Grounds Maintenance Team are responsible for, but not limited to**:

- Operation of Tractors & Slashers
- Mowing & slashing of Turf areas, verges and firebreaks
- Weed Control & Herbicide use
- Reticulation operation and minor repairs
- Garden Maintenance (mulching, pruning, hedging, weeding etc.)Use of plant & equipment such as ride on and push mowers, brush cutters, blowers, edgers, hedgers, spraying equipment etc
- General labouring tasks as required

**Requirements**:

- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Current driver’s license - HR license highly regarded
- Able to Pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen
- Ideally have industry experience in a similar parks & gardens or landscaping role
