**Where you will be working**

Lactalis Harvey Fresh in Western Australian is nestled amongst the fields of the beautiful South West Region of Harvey. This farming rich region is well known for producing premium fruit and first grade milk.

**The Opportunity**

The role will take the lead to ensure compliance to policies, standards, licence and legal requirements. There is a key focus on waste water management by managing the day to day results and actions to ensure compliance.
- Lead the development and delivery of environmental management and monitoring program across the site
- Engage with the site managers, expert technical professionals, government regulatory authorities and monitoring service provides to ensure that site environmental monitoring objectives are met
- Ensure treatment plant is operated according to licence conditions.
- Ensure daily operations are conducted in accordance with standards/ procedures
- Work with internal & external stakeholders to operate the treatment plant in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) requirements
- Identify & improve system issues and procedural changes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual regulatory and legislative requirements as a minimum standard
- Ensure all waste to company specifications and in line with environmental guidelines and expectations of the regulators and Lactalis
- Demonstrate and ensure compliance with standards for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) performance and behaviour consistent with Company's environmental, and health & safety vision and policies and standards

**What you can bring to the role**
- Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or equivalent relevant qualification
- Trusted expert advisor in the technical field of environmental monitoring
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively within a fast-paced work environment
- Proven high-performer, with excellent communication and organisational skills and capable of building effective working relationships
- Demonstrated experience in:

- Water or Waste Water Treatment
- Health and Safety
- Australian Food Industry (highly desirable)
- HAZOP, GMP experience (desirable)
- Current driver’s licence
