Timber Joiner

Our client is a long established, specialist Joinery company that manufactures a wide range of custom made solid timber doors and windows. Based in Coopers Plains, they are proud to be a supplier to many award winning Australian builders, architects and home builders.

The company has invested heavily in the latest computerised joinery technology and have an established team of top craftsmen who are passionate about delivering a superior product and service to their clients.

**The Opportunity**
We are on the search for an experienced Joiner to play a pivotal role within our clients team in their Coopers Plains factory. As Timber Joiner and Leading Hand, this is a hands on role where you will report directly to the Factory Foreman and assist with all operational aspects of the business including staff training.

The position is full time and the successful applicant will need to be a reliable hardworking tradesman with extensive experience in solid timber door and window manufacturing.

A generous salary commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

**What you'll be doing**:
As a leading hand, the role will include:

- Hands on fabrication & manufacture of solid timber doors and window frames
- Assist with workload allocation and planning
- Assist with supervision and training of staff (labourers and apprentices)
- Carry out daily work activities in an efficient, safe and compliant manner.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Trade qualified joiner or carpenter
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Team leader / supervisor or leading hand experience
- Ability to mentor staff and apprentices
- Drivers licence (preferred)
- Forklift licence (not essential)
- The right to permanently live & work in Australia
