Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria (RBGV) employs over 240 staff overseeing two beautiful world-class gardens, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.
What You'll Do
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivated retail assistant to work at our retail shop during the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria's flagship winter event, Lightscape. You will be responsible for providing high quality sales assistance, operating computerised ‘point of sale' systems, maintaining store presentation standards, replenishing stock, and managing enquiries from customers regarding products. Additionally, you will support the end of closing procedures including oversight of cash reconciliation.
Shifts are available Wed, Thu, Sun 4.30pm to 9.30pm & Fri-Sat 4.30pm-10pm.
What You'll Bring
Success in this role will require
- You to be an outgoing person who flourishes in a busy retail environment and loves interacting with people
- Proven retail sales and customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience using a point of sales (POS) system
- Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
- You to be an excellent team player
