The Opportunity

My client has a unique opportunity for an Open Cut Examiner at a large open cut coal mining operation in the Hunter Valley NSW. The Open Cut Examiner will work closely with the Stat-Mine Manager and Production Superintendent to provide a safety environment for all production crews through day-to-day operations.

**Other responsibilities include**:
Work closely and communicate effectively with Step-up Supervisors and crew members;
Complete daily OCE reports;
Adhere to regulatory and legislative guidelines at all times;
Promote the operation's safety culture each and every day;
Work closely with the Production Superintendent to implement mining efficiency's in the pit; and

Conduct safety observations and correct behaviours / processes and promote these to your crew(s).

About You

**To be successful in this role, you must possess**:
Your Open Cut Examiner's practising certificate;
5+ years supervision (or step-up experience) in open cut / pit mining;
Acute people management and communication skills; and

Must be able to work and live in the Hunter Region NSW (lifestyle 2 / 3 / 3 / 2 roster).
