**BMH Electrics** exists to maintain, install, assess and inspect electrical assets and equipment for a wide range of customers including power utilities, mining and digital technologies.

The primary role of an **Inspector (Utilities)** is to perform dimensional, visual, electrical and mechanical inspection using standard documentation and procedures

This **Inspector (Utilities)** position is accountable for undertaking inspection, investigation, and auditing activities, through utilising technical and electrical knowledge and skills, to ensure the safety of consumer installations connected to the network, in compliance with **Western Power’s Inspection System Plan** and regulatory obligations

**Electrician’s**, you **must** have completed the **Public Lighting Module** to be considered.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Utilise precision measuring tools to assist receiving inspection
- Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes
- Verify conformance to applicable procedures and other approved documents
- Interact effectively and professionally with all customers
- Train and guide new Inspectors (Utilities)
- Collect data, log data and evaluate results utilizing simple statistical tools
- Execute knowledge of methods and standards, inspection procedures, instructions and assembly
specifications
- Identify procedure to conduct quality test and inspections
- Evaluate and interpret manuals, blueprints, specifications along with other technical data
- Perform first article, piece, in-process as well as final inspections utilizing different automated and
manual equipment for inspection
- Establish and utilize automated and manual Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) and software
- Update and maintain inspection documents, forms, logs, conformance certificates and other records
- Identify root cause of problems, analyse and develop remedial actions

**SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**

**Essential Criteria (mandatory)**
- ** Public Lighting Module**:

- **Trade qualification** - Linemen/Cable Jointer/Electrical
- Valid driver's licence minimum class C
- Construction (White) Card
- High Risk Card - WP, DG, LF
- Strong problem solving, analytical, troubleshooting and
organisational skills
- Knowledge of electrical and building codes
- Strong time management skills
- Be hardworking

**Desirable Criteria**
- First Aid, CPR and LVR
- Working at Heights Training
- Valid driver's licence minimum class C
- Good physical strength and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
