Apprentice Arborist

This is an outstanding opportunity for a determined individual who enjoys working outdoors and is interested to start a career in Arboriculture. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the industry from tree pruning, removal, transplanting, stump grinding and more.

ArborCraft is located in Clayton South where you will meet your teammates each day before heading to site. You will be working in a tight-knit team where support and team work within each other is essential.

ArborCraft has residential and commercial clients. Generally you will be dealing with clients, this means you will need to possess a polite, professional attitude and be well presented at all times.

You will be working with an experienced, small sized team eager to pass on their skills and knowledge as you work towards becoming a fully qualified Arborist. Tree climbing will play a part in this position as well as supporting your fellow team members in their climbing, so a degree of physical fitness will be essential to be successful in this position.

You need to be:

- Punctual and Presentable
- Willing to learn not only as a tree climber but also in understanding tree biology. An understanding of tree biology is essential as tree climbing is only accessing your job, understanding how the tree works is the key to becoming a good arborist.

- A reliable team player
- Interest in Arboriculture and working outdoors
- Physically fit and reliable
- Must have a drivers licence (manual preferred)
- An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Flexible in working hours as Saturday work maybe needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
