**A bit about the role**

The accredited Werribee Visitor Information Centre is located right in the heart of the Werribee Park Precinct, at the doorstep of the Werribee Open Range Zoo.

As the Team Leader Visitor Services, you will be building a cohesiveness team including employees and volunteers - working together to achieve great experiences for our community and visitors alike.

In this role you will have the opportunity to truly enhance the visitor experience - encouraging tourists to engage with all the wonderful attractions and experience in Werribee and Surrounds.
You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Visitor Information Centre through the delivery of visitor services initiatives and projects, staff and volunteer supervision, and administrative support. You will also represent Council at relevant industry forums and events as required.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience in the supervision of others and demonstrated understanding of the visitor economy.

Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays is required.

**What you’ll deliver**
- Administering the day-to-day operations of the Werribee Visitor Information Centre
- Supervision and supporting staff and volunteers
- Visitor Services initiatives, projects and events

**What you’ll bring**
- Understanding of the role local government plays in the delivery of visitor economy strategies and programs
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the visitor economy
- Tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in a similar role
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
