Eden Ritchie is seeking a Property Advisor who will manage property matters for major transport and road infrastructure projects. This position reports to the Senior Advisor (Property).
- 12 months with possible extension
- Nerang and Eight Mile Plains

**As the Property Advisor, your key responsibilities will include**:

- Manage the acquisition of properties across a range of processes (including strategic purchase, early acquisition and resumption) to meet project timeframes and budget. This includes preparing property acquisition packages, participating in stakeholder consultation and managing the objections process
- Maintain a detailed and accurate property register and provide regular reporting on property matters
- Participate in community, stakeholder and landowner consultation
- Assist in the management of corridor interface matters with public and private stakeholders
- Manage tenure and corridor rectifications, including encroachments, disposals, road closures and dedications, and easements
- Manage access to land including notices of entry, construction leases, construction trustee leases, licenses and permits to occupy
- Coordinate Native Title and contaminated land checks and notifications
- Manage and provide advice regarding the management of land and properties owned by Department, including maintenance, licenses, leases, easements, security and demolitions
- Provide specialist property advice and training to members of the team, management and other stakeholders
- Undertake work in accordance with all legislative requirements and departmental policies, procedures and processes
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders (internal and external to the department)
- Provide input into continuous improvement to develop and promote best practice property processes
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of correspondence, reports, briefing notes, media enquiry responses, submissions and other correspondence
- Assist with identifying resourcing needs and the recruitment and management of a small team to meet the above accountabilities
- Comply with the WH&S Act, Regulations and Department Policy
- Take personal responsibility to deliver on agreed outcomes, model high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour, contribute actively to branch and divisional goals, and demonstrate self-awareness and a commitment to personal development

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Specialist property knowledge, including but not limited to relevant legislative and policy requirements to property with a transport focus, property resumptions, land and tenure management, and knowledge of Native Title rights and interests
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel would be advantageous in this role
