If you’re seeking a chaplain career offering a wide range of responsibilities in a borderless ministry, and with the opportunity to join peacekeeping missions and support communities in need, this could be the role for you.

**Your Role**

All members of the Air Force are encouraged to practice their religion, and we believe they should be given the opportunity and facilities to do so. As a Chaplain in the Air Force, you will look after the spiritual needs of Air Force personnel serving their country.

Your ministry will be without borders, and you will work with a small team of Chaplains providing pastoral support to those engaged in a variety of roles and environments - from air defence and search, to rescue operations and emergency response.

On top of this, as an Air Force Officer you’ll be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor; adept at effectively communicating with and managing teams, with a comprehensive knowledge of Air Force attitudes, values and military protocols and procedures.

This is a role offering unique challenges, loads of variety, and where no two days are the same.

**Salary**

You’ll earn a good salary from day one, and be paid to train and learn the skills required. On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $109,220 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation, and your salary increases as you progress.

**Location**

Upon completion of your training in Victoria and New South Wales, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia such as RAAF Base Amberley, RAAF Base Darwin or RAAF Base Tindal.

**Life in the Air Force**

When you join the Air Force, you’ll benefit from our investment in your professional growth and development, enjoy great work/life balance, a supportive team environment and extensive benefits - from free healthcare to excellent fitness facilities. Plus, there’s the potential for overseas travel.

In addition, there’s the meaningful experiences that come with serving your country. From participating in Air Force exercises and operations to providing support to communities in need, this is your opportunity to take on a career with many rewarding dimensions.
