**What does an Operator do?**

Working at Newport Terminal, one of Viva Energy’s largest fuel storage and handling facilities, you will play an essential role in safe movement of bulk fuel from refineries and ships out to our end customers.

Operator tasks are varied, you will sample and test products, monitor and manage movement of fuel, and support drivers and tanker loading into road and rail gantries. You will have responsibility for developing and issuing permits for maintenance work and undertake basic housekeeping duties in operational areas. In addition, you will play an important role in HSSE activities including audits and emergency response exercises.

Operators will be working on a Mon-Fri standard hours working roster. There may be future opportunity to step into a shift pattern working on a 24 x 7 roster.
